It all started with a team of volunteers recruiting local health care providers to donate medication to the Dispensary of Hope.  Since our inception in 2003, volunteers have been vital to providing prescription access to patients in need.  

While we're always interested in meeting and working with smart, committed people with a diverse set of skill sets - our immediate needs include:

Advocates:

Advocates recruit health care providers to donate their unused, unexpired sample medication.  They can give as little or as much time as their schedule allows and we have everything needed to start spreading the word in your community.

Practice Relations Volunteers:

Practice Relations Volunteers assist the Provider Partnership Manager with physician account management duties including donor retention and relationship building.  Volunteers help manage the secure bin system by making phone calls and sending faxes to donating physician offices and perform day-to-day maintainance check-ins.

Continued Access Volunteers:

Continued Access Volunteers assist the patient advocate team by making phone calls to patients and pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure delivery of medications to patients' homes or the doctors' offices.  Additional functions include paperwork processing and data entry.

Distribution & Processing Volunteers:

Distribution & Processing Volunteers help process medication donations and requires additional screening of volunteers.

Administrative Volunteers

Administrative Volunteers assist the Office Manager and other members of the Dispensary of Hope team with data entry, mailings, and other clerical and administrative work.

 Additionally, we are always on the lookout for any professionals willing to lend their expertise in the areas of IT, distribution, marketing, social entrepreneurship or other areas that might help the Dispensary of Hope innovate around the unique needs of our patients and access sites.
