Charis Health Center Joins the Dispensary of Hope Network
--Now Providing Free Medications, Dispensing Hope to the Uninsured--
(Nashville, Tenn.) – Charis Health Center is partnering with the Dispensary of Hope to
provide free prescription medicines to uninsured individuals, officials announced today.
The Dispensary of Hope is a growing network of prescription medicine dispensing sites,
sourcing partners and financial partners that assist poor and underserved individuals in
getting the medications they need for the short and long-term.
“Joining the Dispensary of Hope network is a great opportunity for our patients and for
Charis Health Center,” said Shirley Whittaker, volunteer office manager for Charis Health
Center which has served Wilson County since January 2008. “This seemed like a logical
partnership for us as we both seek to make a difference in helping the uninsured
population.”
Medications for the Charis Health Center will be delivered from the Dispensary’s
headquarters in Nashville. The center is located at 9695 Lebanon Rd Ste 320 Mt. Juliet, TN
37122.
“No one should be deprived of medications because of an inability to pay for them. The
Dispensary of Hope is proud to partner with Charis Health Center to compliment the
excellent service they already provide to the community,” said Scott Cornwell, managing
director of The Dispensary of Hope.
“To date, we’ve helped tens of thousands of patients, in 6 counties, get the medications they
need to live a healthy life, and we are pleased to initiate our services in Mt. Juliet. It’s one
way we are making strides at meeting our goal of covering the 1 million uninsured
individuals across Tennessee.”
There are approximately 20,000 uninsured people currently living in Wilson County.
