United Neighborhood Health Services’ Downtown Clinic and Faith Family Medical Clinic are partnering with the Dispensary of Hope to provide free prescription medicines to uninsured individuals, officials announced today.
The Dispensary of Hope is a growing network of prescription medicine dispensing sites, sourcing partners and financial partners that assist poor and underserved individuals in getting the medications they need for the short and long-term.
"An important mission of the Downtown Clinic is to improve the lives of Davidson County residents through access to health services and community programs," said Dr. Keith Junior, CMO of United Neighborhood Health Services. "Our partnership with the Dispensary of Hope opens new doors for our patients, and we are honored to join this network."
Prescription medications for the Downtown Clinic and Faith Family Medical Clinic will be delivered from the Dispensary's headquarters and distribution center. The Downtown Clinic is located at 526 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN and Faith Family Medical Clinic is located at 326 21st Avenue North, Nashville, TN.
"With this partnership, we're bringing the Dispensary of Hope's leadership in the pharmaceutical industry and combining it with our depth of services from medical care to counseling to educational services ," said Laura Hobson, Executive Director of Faith Family Medical Clinic. "Introducing this new service is a natural extension of our mission to provide the residents of greater Nashville who do not have health insurance with affordable, quality primary medical care."
