This is a wonderful time of year, and not just because of the fall colors in Nashville, or that University of Tennessee football is in full swing. This time of year I’m always excited to attend Becker’s CEO/CFO Roundtable. This year’s conference runs November 11-13, 2019 in Chicago. www.beckershospitalreview.com/november-ceo-roundtable-conference/
As a leader in a mission-focused innovative non-profit, it’s always important to gain value from conferences, and Becker’s never disappoints.
There are some changes this year. Maybe the most significant change I can see is the addition of a new pharmacy leadership track titled, “Pharmacy Leadership in the C-Suite.” As Chief Development Officer for one of the country’s largest charitable medication distributors, to me this signals a recognition of the trend of the critically important and increasingly integrated role of pharmacy in the continuum of care and population health. Medication access and adherence saves lives, provides better patient journey insights, improves care journey ownership and offers significant financial savings.
I’ll definitely be attending the panel, “Cost Containment and Combatting Drug Shortages – Ideas from Pharmaceutical Leaders,” as well as “Key Thoughts on Controlling Pharmacy Costs – Lessons from Leadership.”
There are so many options for high-quality content. I’m also planning to attend, “Pharmacy, Precision Medicine and Key Ideas on Leadership,” which includes panelist Indu Lew, PharmD, Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, RWJBarnabas Health.
Are you planning to attend? Please fill out the form below. I’d love to find some time to talk over coffee or lunch. Not attending? We’ll send out a recap of the sessions we attend. Sign up to receive the recaps.
